MWCT wins prestigious United Nations Equator Prize

Exciting news and a great reason to have a big smile: the Trust supported by Campi ya Kanzi, Maasai Wilderness Conservation Trust, has won the prestigious United Nations Equator Prize.

Only 25 organizations were selected out of nearly 1000 nominations received at the end of last year.
The Equator Prize is one of the most globally respected acknowledgements of excellence and achievement in community development and local conservation and it puts MWCT in a permanent roster of organizations validated by UNDP which has enormous value for the Trust efforts to partner with high quality organizations and government agencies.
The prize will be presented at the Rio+20 Conference in Rio in June.
